Michael M. Ward, MD, MPH, received his medical degree from the University of Illinois and his MPH degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. After fellowship training in rheumatology at Duke University Medical Center, he was a fellow in the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar Program at Stanford University. He served as a rheumatologist at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System and was a faculty member in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University from 1990 to 2002.
Dr. Ward is currently an investigator in the Intramural Research Program at the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, National Institutes of Health. His research interests are health outcomes and outcome measures.
